Font List not complete

I have tried doing searches, and nothing helpful has come up. on the Character tab, the font drop down list is not complete, as it only shows about 1/4 of the fonts that it used to. I have not added any new fonts recently, and I have not done any system installations or upgrades recently that would effect Photoshop. How can I make the list complete again? I have tried putting copies of the fonts in the Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts folder, but that didnt help at all. Please, does anyone know how to fix this?

Do a search for adobefnt*.LST and delete all you find – they will be rebuilt as required

I’m having the same issue. I recently started using The Font Thing to manage fonts. (I didn’t know about ATM.) But I’ve been having this problem prior to that.
I use PS7 on Windows 2000, I am a ‘poweruser’ but don’t have complete rights to many of my system settings. Could this affect the PS fonts?
Even windows fonts like Garamond don’t show in PS. Everything works fine in pagemaker. I am concerned about how often I will need to delete all adobefnt*.LST files. (Which did work! Thank you 🙂
