Is there a way I can re size a batch of pictures? I have nearly 400, and I want to re size them all (preferably with one click). It a laborious job re sizing them individually, does anyone know how to do them all at once? I’m using Photo shop 7.
Thank You

I want to put a black background around a picture, the picture itself is 960×720 pixels, and the background will be 1024×768 pixels.
What I want to do is… automatically get the picture dead centre to the background, how do I do this?
Can anyone help?

Thank You

Mike,
you can record an action to resize and save the images.

Regarding the black background, I would think that if you had a grid in place and snap to grid, it should center? Others with better knowledge will likely pop in with more detailed answers!

what you need to do (and record your action while you are doing it) is make your backround color black, go to canvas size, switch it to pixels, make it 1024×768 (this will automatically make your pic dead-center) and boom you are done. hit stop and load this action into your batch command.

Hi –
I’m new to all of this… and have been using PaintShop pro (new to that also) but am looking for software (maybe adbobe photoshop cs) to help me accomplish the following:

I have a bunch of small jpg photos (width 1.21") (Height 1.67") which I am trying to resize to at least 3×5 or preferably 4×6 without a lot of distortion. Is there a way to accomplish this?, if so, could someone be so kind to explain it in simple terms as I know next to nothing about this..
Thanks

1.21 x 1.67 will not size directly to 3×5 OR 4×6, UNLESS you distort it.
You can go to 3 x 4.14 or 4×5.52 without distortion.
It’s just a fact of math.

You’ll have to crop the image to get different aspect ratio.

Also, of course, you have only the original pixels you have, and these will be spread out over a larger area, so final resolution may be an issue depending on what ppi you have to start with.

Rick,

As Mac said, the pixels you have are only the pixels you have; however, there are some programs that do a good job of "tricking" the computer into thinking it has more pixels. This technology comes at a hefty price tag though. Take a look at this article that reviews this technology and some programs that do this.

Hope this helps,
