I’m running W2000 SP3 with NVidia Riva 128/128ZX graphics and ImageQuestV560 display. I installed Photoshop CS and on Restarting my monitor only displayed grayscale for 32-bit and 16-bit. Once I removed Photoshop again, the display settings reverted back to full color.
Anyone know what caused the grayscale and how to overcome this problem? Thanks for your help.

sounds like a bad monitor profile. redoing it with adobe gamma from the control panel should fix it.

I tried this but I only had grayscale to choose from – Adobe Gamma didn’t include any colors. I also tried redfining my monitor to std. Plug ‘n Play with the same results.

Any more ideas please?

Read the FAQ about your monitor colors being off. Follow the directions there.

You still need to get a valid display profile (because the one you have is broken).

The problem was nothing to do with the display profile – it was the graphics card that I have now replaced with a different model. Photoshop etc. now in glorious colour.
