I have found Scott Kelby’s "The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers" very good

I like Photoshop Artistry from New Riders/PeachPit. It was just released and has been re-written and re-designed. I supports Photoshop CS2 and beyond.

Thanks,

Depend on what you intend doing with CS2.
I bought a few books on CS2 , Cain, and what I found the best is Classroom in a Book (CS2) from Adobe Systems (bought the CS version as well in CS time:-)
and I bought Martin Evening’s version of
Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Photographers.
I also bought ‘How to do everything with Photoshop CS
by Colin Smith (but this is CS of course) and found it good as well but that and Classroom for CS was the books I started with.

I would suggest Classroom for CS2 for any beginner
even if you intend to work mainly on photos. For
photos, either Martin Evening or Scott Kelby’s books.

Thanks,

You might want to do a search on Google.Groups for this, and the comp. graphics.apps.photoshop NGs. This subject has come up often, and as Dave states, it all depends on what you want to use CS2 for. I’ve got all of the mentioned books and they are very good, for what they cover. Last few times that this subject was open, there were tons of great recs. Pour over those old articles and see which books will help YOU.
