Hi am am attempting to create an action to add another iamge(as a watermark) to a catalogue of other images. (900+). Obviously i’m not having much sucess with my chosen method. which goes soemthing like this>
create set > new action > record

1, open image to be the watermark/logo
2, open an image to add watermark to
3, drag 1 to 2
4, save 3 as ‘for web’
5, close all
6, stop recording.

get the error ‘previous document not available’ is there a particular order or somthing i need to do this in? where am i going wrong on this one?
Any help is much appreciated
thanks
Dan

You should try recording it once the watermark image is open. And have the watermark image loaded when you launch the batch.

tried and failed on that one i’m afraid, i get an error saying: "The command move is not currently available", i.e. it’s not abot to drag the watermark onto the main image. Thanks if you can help further

Im not sure if Photoshop will allow another image to be dragged as a part of an action, but if you open a few of your documents at a time, open the one with the watermark, and hold in shift while dragging the watermark to another document, it will place it in the exact same place it was in the original document. That’s the best way i can think of to remedy your problem.
