Hello,

I’ve got an image that’s going to be in a magazine printed on a web press. Right now the image is too small, and it was recommended in a different thread here that instead of actually enlarging the image, I just decrease the resolution to around 240 or 270. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if that would be acceptable on a web press, and what (if any) noticable quality decrease there could be? Or, for web press printing, would it be better to just enlarge the image? (Right now the image is 6.5 x 10", and I need it to be 8.75 x 11.2".)

Thanks!
Jonathan

Call the printer and ask. I’d guess that would be around 200 dpi would be fine.
