Does anyone know how I can get the program to STOP adding the word ‘copy’ everytime I save a file as Jpg? The program won’t let me uncheck the "as copy" box for some reason. Preferences didn’t seem to offer any clues. Help was clueless too. I searched the forum and found many references to automatically adding the word ‘copy’ to files. But, how do I get the thing to stop adding ‘copy’ to the name of every file I save as jpg? If I wanted the word copy in the file name I would type the word copy in the file name. Duh.

1. You could flatten the file first, save as, then go back one step in History (actions can do this).

2. You could use Save For Web instead of Save as.

3. Get in line with everyone else who’s tired of this "feature".

or you can upgrade to CS because adobe listened to all of us who said we didn’t want the word copy appended to our files.

What the heck? Are you telling me someone conciously put this in PS and there is no way to get rid of it? Is this some geeks way of getting back at the world for teasing him/her in high school? I can’t imagine any rational reason why someone would add this feature to a program and design it so one can’t get rid of it. I have a headache now.

I have a headache now.

Aspirin has proved to be quite effective.

Good idea. I used the .44 on my computer and all my problems are gone.

Now if the geeks just had a .44 back in school when they were getting teased…
