I’m getting ready to order Creative Suite 2 but I have heard that Adobe is getting ready to release a newer version of PS in the next couple of months. What is their policy about free upgrades?

AFAIK, Adobe is not ready to release CS3 in the next couple of months. The release is still scheduled for early 2007.

They used to upgrade (cost of mailing only) -=IF=- you bought within XX time before the new release. That to keep sales funds coming in. Check with Adobe.

Adobe is busy transcoding their spaghetti code into "Universal Binary" for Intel based Macs. I saw this recently, though:

I suppose they’re also busy porting to 64 bit code for Windows Vista and presumably Leopard…

i have always found that the "odd" vs even upgrades/versions are the ones to get with adobe.

I dont think there is such a thing as a FREE upgrade…but you can usualy buy an upgrade for under 70 bucks if you have a legit previous version.

Anyhoo…i recently upgraded to CS2 from v.7….and i love it! I have had it for a couple of months and i am still checking out some of the new features.
