Will Photoshop 4.0 run on XP? My copy is returning a fatal flaw error when it opens any JPG file on my newly-installed XP o/s.

yes, but you need to have < 512 ram on the machine and you need all the 4.x updages. you’re better off getting a copy of PS Elements (or upgrading). It’ll run circles around PS 4.

Newly installed, how? New machine? Upgrade?

In any event, in addition to the previous advice, I’d suggest you buy a copy of Photoshop Elements which, with very few exceptions, runs circles around PS 4.0.

Either that or upgrade to Photoshop CS.
