Have bought a new 19"CRT Monitor Iiyama HM903DTB and installed a monitor resolution of 1280×960 pixels which is working fine on my WindowsXP Pro machine with the exception of Photoshop 7.01. All the fonts, toolboxes etc. are now unpleasantly SMALL.
Does this mean that Photoshop has to run in a lower monitor resolution of 800×600?? Thanks in advance for a reaction.

Try 1024×768 pixels. Unless there is a trick that I don’t know about, you can’t fix the fonts and toolbars independently of screen resolution. It is a Windows issue as I understand it.

Display properties>appearance>font size.

Another setting which seems to more universally affect all font sizes throughout is Display Properties > General > DPI Setting, choosing Large Size (120 dpi) as the option. Some, but relatively few, applications seem to be designed strictly for the small font setting, but that’s not true of the majority, Photoshop included. I run my 19-inch monitor at 1280×1024 and don’t have any trouble reading it, but your eyes may vary from mine.

Daryl
