Hi,

I’ve recently upgraded my monitor and graphics card and now images that I display in Photoshop CS look very dull compared to when the same image is viewed in Illustrator, Paint or online.

I’ve included a screenshot which should hopefully explain my problem in more detail. You can especially see the problem when comparing the blue in the task bar.

Thanks for any help. Here is the link:

I have two guesses:

1) You need to open up the color settings, show the ‘advanced’ settings, and uncheck ‘desaturate monitor colors by:’

2) OK, I really only have one guess, but it’s weird that this problem would show up now, if my previous guess was correct.

And while you’re looking at the color settings, tell it to ask you about profile mismatches and missing profiles. That way you stand a better chance of learning what the problem is earlier in the workflow.

HTH.
