Sup,

I have recently installed Photoshop CS and love the program so far, but unfortunately for some reason alot of colours in CS are mismatched, for example Red; FF0000 appears orange, however in Photoshop 5.5 / 7 and Internet Explorer FF0000 appears the normal red colour.

I have read through the FAQs and have tried changing the Adobe Gamma etc, but I doubt that this is a problem with my monitor or video card as red appears normal in everything except Photoshop CS.

Has any one encounted this problem before or knows a fix for it?

Thanks in advance.

run adobe gamma in the control panel and calibrate your monitor. it’s not a problem in your card or monitor, it’s in your monitor profile.

Ah its funny I ran the abode gamma about 5 times and each time it did not work, and then I noticed that I accidently had the wrong gamma setting on, my bad.

Thanks for your reply, lesson to everyone, double check everything 🙂
