Hello
I’m not a graphics professional. If my post is off topic or lame, I apologize and ask to be redirected to the proper forum.
Years ago I bought Photoshop 3. Sometime after that I uninstalled it. Recently I’ve found that I’m going to need Photoshop again. I noticed that the upgrading to CS is only $169, but I figured I needed the original disk (not just the serial number), so I dug it out just now and re-installed on my new computer. But it doesn’t run on the new computer (AMD chip, Win 2K). When I try to start Photoshop, a dialog pops up that says "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch Photoshop". But that can’t be right, because there’s a gig of RAM, and I’ve never had a memory problem.
My first choice would be to get version 3 running. Any ideas as to what’s wrong?
My second choice would be to buy CS and get it up and running. Do I need a good installation of 3 to install CS, or just the serial number?
Thanks,
Ernie
