I was wondering if there is a way combine layers such that the final image will have all different pixels.

Foe example, I take 5 images of someone walking down a path. I want to combine the 5 such that the final image will have the person 5 times walking down the path. ……….. steve baginski

Yes. Layer masks.

Create 5 layers witht he 5 people. Outline the person on the top 4 layers using the Lasso tool, then save the selection as a layer mask.
