I have a digital photo that has a few blemishes as a result of (I surmise) a dirty lens….the photo is of flesh, and in the picture it looks as though there are discolored spots in the skin, but they are actually on the photo itself. I have no clue how to "fix" those. Someone gave me Photoshop but I’m a tyro…..help menu only confused me more. Is there a relatively simple way to tell me how to fix this picture? Thanks for any help.

Yes, BUT, practise on a copy, not the original.

So that if you make a F*** Up, you have not damaged your original.

um, isn’t there an "undo" command in Photoshop? "Roy G" wrote in message

Just make a copy to work on for a start.

Of course there is an "Undo", there is also "History", where you can go back many steps or right back to "Open".

BUT, and as you can see it is a big but, relying on these commands alone to preserve your original, is not a good idea. If you want to live dangerously just do it that way.

If you close Photoshop, or whatever, and then can’t get back to your original, please don’t bother asking for help, because there is no solution.

Seriously, not to put down the good advice given, but if you’re looking for results and not knowledge then get a professional to restore it. Hell, even corner pharmacies are offering restoration work, cheap.

Yes, you are only one Ctrl-s away from disaster. Always, always Open, Save_As
[new name] (or Open As Copy), then work on the image. At some point it will
save you a lot of frustration and anger.
