Receiving the following error message: c:\documents & settings\username\desktop\adobe photoshop 6.0lnk
c:\docume~1\username\locals~1\temp\ A temp file needed for initialization could not be created, or could not be written to. Make sure that the path exists, & disk space is available. Close to terminate this application.
Operating system Win XP Home Edition, 92.1 gb free space on hard drive, physical memory=512mb, total virtual memory=1.72gb
Program worked fine the last time it was accessed, but now will not open. Just downloaded the 6.0.1 update, hoping that might help. Any suggestions on where to proceed?

Thank You,
Dina

Did you check to see that the folder exists? If it exists, do you have the right to write to it?
It might be that your prefs have been corrupted.

Try deleting the pref file, as explained in the FAQs.
