Since there are so many, and we have no idea of your abilities of which you’ll like, I’d suggest doing a google search using the following terms (just copy and paste the whole line below here):
"Photoshop tutorial" Aqua gel buttons text
That should meet your needs and keep you busy for a long time.
….and for a quick and dirty solution go to Stardock.com
Their skins are mind-boggling.
(Please, don’t say get a life!)

Hi All-
Thanks for your response. I’ve seen tutorials like this in the past but I never thought I would be making them anytime soon. I’ve got a customer whose pretty fixated on them and I disuade him from using them on a web page.
There are literally hundreds of pre-created styles for gel buttons in all shapes and styles for free at Adobe Echange <
http://share.studio.adobe.com/>. You may have to sign up (free), but it’s an often overlooked resource for these kinds of things.
Peace,
Tony

Thanks fellas. I’m staring at a pile of work, but miss the forum.
YrbkMgr-
That’s a great resource. I totally forgot about that one. I should spend more time on the Adobe site to see what’s available.
Thanks!
Gel buttons are quickly becoming the next Drop-Shadow.
EVERYONE’s doing them. NO-ONE’s being original. What’s wrong with paste buttons? I prefer paste over gel anyways. Has anyone ever looked at a gel button in 256 color mode? Looks like a paisley turd.

Without getting into an artistic debate, ever watch a television commercial? Lowest common denominator sells <shrug>. Use what works – especially when it’s the clients request.
Peace,
Tony
Who was it, who said about a vacation resort that nobody went there anymore, because it was too crowded?
Drop shadows will be useful as long as people want pages with depth and stacking.

As usual, your wit is surpassed only by your sense of humor.
YrbkMgr-
I agree. As painful as I want to create them, you need to cater to the request of the client. Then, show them that it’s passe. Besides, the clients pay the bills.

why are you guys talking about new jersey in a thread about gel buttons?
sammy,
I’m not knocking you. I know what it’s like to have to do incredibly bad design at the clients request. I once had a boss who insisted that we incorporate orange into our company colors, but couldn’t find a shade he liked. Do you know how hard it is to get a bright orange without going to spots?
Drop shadows on everything. Bizarre borders.
At some point I just sat back and laughed about how I’m going to be blamed when someone tells him his sight looks tacky.
Dave…

Them’s molehills in Joisey.
Back on Topic please guys…
It’s a well known fact that most requests for Gel Buttons, either on websites or in new business brochures, come from start-up companies based inยyou guessedยNew Jersey.
