Is there a free or inexpensive script to automate gang printing?

My wife loves the 2×3 inch (wallet) format for scrapbooking, but the cost of wallets is $1 for two identical images.

The first and easiest savings is simple an action used in BATCH to automatically shrink the image to 2×3 and change the canvas size to 4×6 and save. Wallets might be $1 for two, but 4x6s are $10 at snapfish. Ordination at this point isn’t that important.

The next iteration would be to point a directory of 2x3s and place 4 per 4×6. Saves time on trimming as 3 cuts yields 4 2×3, and saves printing and shipping costs and reduces waste. I could even have two directories so that the script wouldn’t have to deal with orientation.

The 2nd interaction would deal with the iteration problem.

The 3rd would deal with sizing the image to fill a 2×3 image then pasting four to each 4×6.

Any ideas?

Todd
