When I add text with CS on tiff files it is not visible in 7

That description makes no sense.

Please provide more information about the problem you’re seeing.

I have Photoshop CS on my machine. When I add File info (iptc) to the tiff files this is not visible on other computers that have Photoshop 7

Shouldn’t this be not backwards compatible, so the text is visible on both versions of Photoshop?
