Hi pls help,

Am using photoshop 6.0.
Hav created a layer of ‘tv lines’ using the tv lines action the tv lines/stripes consist of 2 colors. white and a shade of red. then i changed the opacity of that layer to make it look translucent such that i can see the checked boxes(the white and grey boxes) behind.
Then i tried to export it to dreamweaver (by saving as gif)but the stripes that r supposed to looks translucent doesn’t.
then i tried to save it as png format, looks fine in photoshop but failed again in DW.

Pls help. Thanks in advance.

Gif doesn’t support translucency, only 1-bit transparency (i.e. either transparent or opaque). The only web-friendly format that supports translucency (8-bit transparency) is PNG 24 – The bad news is that Internet Explorer (and all old browsers) do not have native support for PNG 24 transparency.

Can be done using CSS also.
