Is my system too small for CS3+Bridge3?

I have just loaded and activated the CS3/Bridge3 Beta from Adobe and I like it a lot — so much that I used it for some production work today where I was jumping around among about a dozen big image files selecting different images to edit and save for a web page. The good news it that it did not crash once.

But there is a problem where it was non responsive for significant periods each time I re selected a different one of the dozen or more favorites files I was hopping around.

I am thinking that perhaps the problem is that I just don’t have enough computer power for the Bridge3 program. I assume that when I just reselect Bridge 3 after editing a file there is no need to rebuild thumbnails, yet even that can take perhaps 30 seconds.

Then when I reopen a favorites file that has already made its thumbnails, I assume it should not have to redo that, and yet at that point the program is also non-responsive for some time.

I wonder if what is going on is that there needs to be a lot of page swapping because my system it too small.

These are my specs:
Win XP on Dell Dimension 8200 with Pentium 4 2.0 ghz and 1.00 GB memory.

That seems like a lot but with CS3 and Bridge3 running my Page File usage is 1.4 MB while with CS2 and its Bridge the usage is 785 MB. Could that difference be causing the long pauses I was encountering?

If so, what sort of an upgrade would I need? I really like some of the features in CS3 and can’t imagine not using it. Perhaps I should wait for the release version. These could be Beta-type bugs I suppose, but I know that real graphics pros have more computer than I do.
