After I created an image with many layers including text and drawings I can not copy all the images as one to another application. How do I combine images?

Make sure all of the layers that you want to copy are visible, then there are a couple of ways.

1. Stamp the visible layers and copy – create a new blank layer; hold down the alt key and don’t release it. Click and hold on Layer in the menu and drag the mouse down to Merge Visible. That will create a merged layer and you can copy/paste, save as… or whatever, and then delete that layer if you like

2. Copy Merged and create a New Image – Ctrl-A to select the entire canvas, and then choose Edit|Copy Merged from the menu, then Ctrl-N to create a new image and paste the contents.

Either way works…

I understand there were problems in downloading the Layers Report due to server and ISP difficulties. Unfortunately, it is no longer available from the author’s Photoshop Master site. The good news is: I have Shaun’s permission to make it available on my own website, for a limited time, at http://www.successfulglamour.com/Layers.html – it is still FREE, at least for now!

Please accept my apologies for any inconveniences you may have experienced earlier.

Thank you,

Hi All

If I remember correctly from my Version 7 days you could create sections of your project on different layers and then switch on the eye tool for each layer to view it.

I was wondering if I might be able to use this, or any other tool that yu can think of to fill in text with an image file. For example instead of plain black text make the ‘fill’ of the text be an image file?

Many Thanks In Advance.
Jen
