online photo hosting

Hmmm I think couple days ago I ran into a Photo-Hosting site I don’t remember about the highest resolution don’t know how reliable it’s, but I remember something about unlimited and about $30/year. Sorry I forgot the name (I only remember it was a very short 3-4 letters name).

Anyway, I know www.smugmug.com has unlimited storage, I read the entry level allows upto 8MB file max, and it costs $40/year (I believe it was about $30-35 or so a year ago, and I read the new price only effect newer customer not existing customers).

P.S. I ran into these sites while looking for online printing price. Both (and more but I can’t remember others) offer online printing, and the 1st one (I forgot the name) has lowest printing price.

BTW, I have seen few people mentioned free photo-hosting sites but I don’t remember seeing highest resolution (I visited some and the photos were ok for viewing).

Hmmm now I am trying to locate the sites that I didn’t have the chance to bookmark or saved because I computer locked up.

Hmmm now I am trying to locate the sites that I didn’t have the chance to bookmark or saved because I computer locked up.

OK, "fotki" is the name of the company (site) I checked last time. And below is one of few comments of people who used or tried their printing service. I have never tried them to know anything about them. ____________________________________________________________ fotki has many features and I like and would like to use many of them. I used it for a while now and also printed photos on it the quality was just fine and I thought it was good for day to day photos – I would not print my high quality ones or posters here. the real problem i had was the sometimes the site was just slow which was frustrating and a few times I found myself almost just closing the window and moving to another service. hope that will get better.

Set up an account, and upload your images whatever size you want. Remember, if you are remote linking the images and you want them to remain invisible to other Flickr users, just mark them as private when you upload them.

maybe bitmaps the images though?

buy some storage space on a server and upload your files, then open to passworded guests?
