Photoshop CS– Unable to save Drop Shadow Blend Mode and

Photoshop CS, Win XP

Applied Drop Shadow with Hard Mix Blend Mode.
Alls well while image is open.

Problem:
After saving and then re-opening
the Drop Shadow shows the Blend Mode as Multiply.

Tried saving with Layer Knocks Out Drop Shadow both checked and unchecked.

Interesting. Does this happen when you save as PSD or are you saving as another file format (like Tiff)?
