Hi everyone,

I created a logo for a computer company and he wants the logo to be transparent so that he can insert his logo into email stationery of various background colors. (for example, if a client sends him an email, my client will paste his own logo into the reply)

Now this doesn’t allow me to use a matte color to smooth the anti-aliasing of the gif format. In any case, gif doesn’t attractively portray my two color logo.

So, I tried using PNG-24 format. This works very well. I get smooth edges without using a matte color. Great!!!

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!! When the PNG logo is inserted into a Word edited email message and emailed, the recipient of the email gets a very horrid looking logo in the message.

Does anyone have an explanation for this? And better yet, how to solve???

Internet Explorer (and thus most Microsoft stuff) doesn’t support transparency in PNG.
