Does anybody use two monitors with videocard VisionTek 256M X1300 (it’s supposed to support dual monitors)? I’m trying to install it on my Dell Dimension E520, but the card doesn’t recognize the second computer. So far Dell technical support’s been useless. I’ll appreciate any help.

Q1) Did you mean "second monitor" instead of "second computer" in the description above?

Q2) Do you have the most up-to-date drivers for your card?

Q3) Do you have one monitor connected to the DVI-I port on the card, and one on the VGA adapter?

Q4) Is the monitor on the DVI port using a digital (DVI-D) cable?

Q5) Which monitor is working?

Q6) Does the monitor that is not working, ever indicate it’s getting a signal, like during system startup? (A light on it might switch from amber to green, or something along
those lines.)

Q7) Does the monitor that is not working, work on another PC or on the other port of your graphics card?

I’m not really much of a diagnostician for stuff like this, but getting a clearer picture of what you’ve tried, and what’s happening may well help someone who is.

I’ve added alt.comp.hardware, as there are some genuine smart *sses there that might have some ideas.
