Do I need to remove PS7 from the computer before installing CS? If I do, what’s the best way to save all the custom settings, plug-ins, actions, etc.

Is there anything else I should watch for?

Thanks to all,

Ron

Ron,

You can safely leave PS-7 on. The CS installer makes a new directory under Adobe for CS. Further, you can use both versions.

Do NOT point to the PS-7 plugin folder from within the CS prefs, but copy only the non-PS plugins to the new plugins folder.
(This means only the third party plugins you have installed).

Thank you, Rob.

What advantage is it to keep PS-7 after I’ve copied the plug-ins?

Would I do the same for actions? And how do I transfer custom settings, brushes, etc?
