Hello,

I’m new at Photoshop, and I’ve started going through thousands of filters that I’ve downloaded.

The problem is that the whole filters menu becomes so messy with hundreds of subdirs and messy names. Like "Andrew’s Filters 25" and "4000 filters" etc etc.

Is there a way you can assign each filter its own name and its own directory (that is displayed as such in PS)?

I was thinking of perhaps making my own filter pack (to keep for myself, not pass off as being made by me), which I can neatly assign subdirs in different catagories etc.

Thanks in advance,

Having more than 100 filters is in my very own opinion a waste of time and newbish.
Just like fonts, a pro can use 100 fonts and do much better than an idiot with 10 000.

You can specify other plugin directories in Preferences. Why on earth you would want that many filters is beyond me. I have maybe 10 or 15 third party filters loaded and hardly use them.

Learn to use the program, not the crutches.
