Hello,

I’m having a problem with my color separation in photoshop. I did a retouching job for a catalog and the images came with the blacks too flt and overall images contrast lower tahn usual. The paper is coated but not too much so it absorbs.

This time i decided too use a total ink amout of 330 % instead of the last 300%.

I retouched the images with a SWOP coated profile to monitor my output with the total ink readout.

But when i changed the profile to 330% instead of the black blacks showing 330% they show 250%

What is wrong???

How exactly did you convert from RGB to CMYK? What was the RGB reading in the blackest areas of the image before converting? What version of Photoshop are you using? What rendering intent and what profile or CMYK setup did you actually use?
