I need help Group,

I’m running WIN XP Pro, 2.8MHz P4, 1GB DDR Ram, but CS won’t load. Every time I try to start CS, it goes though the loading plug-ins, etc, and then I get the message, "Memory could not be allocated for the activation process. Please close all applications and try again." I’ve shut down all startup appications and still no luck. What do I do next?

Thanks in advance,
David

When you install, do you have all the Security and Virus management controls set to disabled?

Yes, but I can try again if you think that will help…

I re read your post and it only affects the activation? can you run PS without activating at all?

No, I can’t run CS at all. Just as soon as I OK the message, CS shuts down.

David,

Please post your system specs, Ram, free disk space, video driver etc. etc.

David,

* Are you running on a dual boot system? If so, what OSs are you running, and which OS is Photoshop installed & running in?

* Before the activation error occurred, did you use the system restore function?

* Try reinstalling Photoshop, after removing it using Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. This could be the result of a bad installation.
