I am new to Photoshop and even though I have a book and have studied the help file, I cannot find out how to add an object such as a dog or another person to a photograph. Could anyone point to a ‘How To’ Internet site where I will be able to learn from simple instructions how to do this? I am using Photoshop 7. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

I am not new to computers and I am well aware of the power of Googling, I have tried to find something that suits my needs by asking Google but I had no idea how to describe the feature I was looking for and all the results, when I got some, were way off topic as far as I am concerned. I do not want to work through a tutorial at this stage and the link provided by <Bratman> is exactly what I wanted. Thank you for your interest, I hope you are more encouraging of new users next time you answer a query!

No DD (coincidentally, I sometimes use the same nickname, ’cause it is my initials) I do not really deserve this answer. I deal with quite a few newsgroups, on more subjects then only PS, and the experience is people to lazy to use a search machine. Your way of calling it ‘Googling’ prove that most probably you are new on computing; because, Google is only one of many search machines. Many people think searching means googling – if you confirmed on my question whether you are new to computing, I would have been much more help full. I sometimes search for days before asking –
