I’m still in the dark ages using PS4, and just purchase a Pantone ColorSystem calibration software. I’m using Win2000 and calibrated the monitor. When I load PS4, does PS4 automatically use this ICC profile (which is the default of Win) and override the monitor preference set in PS4. When I went to the monitor preference area and hit custom to load the profile, it doesn’t recognize the file. Is PS4 too old for it to use ICC profiles? And don’t worry since PS4 is using the default? Another quick note, I scanned a MacBeth slide and when I check the white square with the info palette, it reads approximately: 229 / 250 / 250 (changes slightly as I move it around). Shouldn’t it read 255 / 255 / 255/ And how would I tweak whatever to get it to read pure white. The black square reads approximatelt 10 / 8 / 11, not 0/0/0. After years, I trying to finally get my monitor to be a correct as possible.
Thanks
Walter

Photoshop 4 does not use ICC profiles.

Photoshop 5 was the first version to use ICC profiles.
