Is it possible to disable a menu option?

I am using Photoshop CS, and I have the bad habit of accidentally clicking on "browse" when I want to open a file. I am just missing it by one one option on the menu, but each time I do this, I have to wait for the bridge to open before I can close it and try again to open a file. I have managed to do this 3 times i half an hour when I am busy opening a lot of files. In previous programs, my mistake would only get me "open as" which was no problem. But this really slows me down. And I rarely use the bridge program anyway.

Can I disable this option, or move it?

double-click on the background of PShop or press Ctrl+O. It’s a lot easier.

I’ve never liked the control options much, but the doublelclick option is wonderful. I’ve never seen that mentioned anywhere. Definitely easier, and avoids my problem altogether. Much appreciated.
