I am trying to create artwork for a t-shirt. I am putting an image in the background at 30% opacity. However, I would like text to appear on top of it with the image of the background as the fill of the text, however I want the text to be at 100% opacity. How do I do that? Thanks!

There are several ways of doing this, but the easiest is:

Create your background image at normal opacity. Set your text using the Type Mask Tool. CTRL+C , CTRL+V to copy and paste to a new layer. Now alter the opacity on the original layer
