Hi

I don’t know if I changed something without noticing. But suddenly I can’t draw anymore with tools that do changes in the active layer like "brush/pencil toot", "clone stamp tool" etc. The only tool that still seems to work is the "paint bucket/gradient tool". The tools are displayed in the history list, though.

There is no selection active. Even after reinstalling Photoshop 7.0 I can’t draw. :(((

Can anyone help me, please.

Thanks
René

brush in "normal" mode (option bar).

What the…?!? The brush was in "normal" mode all the time. And I selected several colors previously, but the tools (like the brush) didn’t work.

Now, as you suggested, I switched the colors (I didn’t do this before)… …and it worked again. (hurray!)

But since I deleted all the actions in the history I have the problem again. And now, switching the color doesn’t help anymore. I’m becoming frustrated…

Rene,

Is there a pen/tablet involved? If yes, maybe check pressure sensitivity.

Anyway, test it with the mouse first. If it works with the mouse and not with the tablet, tweak the tablet preferences.

Are you absolutely sure you deleted the preferences? did you notice any "fall back" to factory default behaviour?

Yes, of course, you are right! There is a wacom tablet hooked to the pc via a switch (I’m using mac, too, so today I installed a switch to have several devices being accessable from both computers).

The tools (brush etc.) obviously DID work all the time, but one can hardly see anything when using the normal mouse (that is not hooked to the tablet)…

Thank you so much! You saved my day!

Regards
René
