Removing little things on workspace?

I wouldn’t really know how to explain this question, so I included a screenshot. I’d like to remove that which is in the red box, so I can more easily see my projects. Thanks.

View|Show. Uncheck slices.

If you accidentally click on the slices tool, photoshop puts that there and it stays for eternity unless you deliberately turn it off.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Thats been annoying me for nearly an eternity. I’ve dealt with it, but now I needed to make buttons for a site and it was REALLY annoying. THanks.
