What the heck does this message mean?

Got this error message when opening PS CS."an error has been detected with a requiered application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application.

Everything else is working fine. Any clues as to why this started?

sounds like either photoshop or maybe a plugin is corrupt.

Dont’ know Dave, I rebooted and PS opened fine. Sure got my heart beating fast though. All I could think of it’s Saturday and Adobe is closed and here I am with a stack of work to get done. I used up my 2 installs already. 🙂

The "two installs" is misleading. You should be able to reinstall on the same machine with no problems.
