This type of grab is so smart. I have never "looked into their great opportunities" for anything.

Contents and Message Source were sent to Adobe as you suggested.

Marie,

I’ve deleted the link in your post.

If it seems too good to be true, it is. In the future, either delete the e-mail or forward to Adobe. If you want to post something about it here that’s fine but please don’t post links.

Thanks,

Bob

Thanks heavens we have Product Activation. If not, they’d offer it for $29 which is probably just too tempting for otherwise law-abiding people. Obviously, they are charging a premium due to the costs involved in defeating the double secret security code.

Boy, Adobe dodged a bullet on that one.

Well, the site said, it’s an OEM version, and to ignore the activation, and after 30 days it would go away (something like that). What a crock of thievery.

No, after thirty days, the people selling it would disappear.

So, in about 20 from now the first "PSCS suddenly vanishes"-topics will show up here.

However should we respond?

Pretty good idea, though…<g>

Most likely in 30 days you’d still be waiting for delivery of a non-existent product that will never arrive and the seller would disappear. The website will disappear soon as well. These "bargain" product scams are pretty common on the net. I get at least 3 or 4 a month in email with URL’s that go to sites located in the orient where it’s hard to shut them down.

In most cases all they want is your credit card number. They have no product. All the pictures and descriptions were lifted from legitimate seller sites and redesigned into their own little scam page.

BTW, About 5 or 6 years ago, Santa DID come early when I got my copy of Photoshop 4.0 for free. Somebody was moving and threw it out – retail box, book, CD’s, registration card (and store receipt!) – along with a shrinkwrapped copy of Riven and some other software and hardware. A sign on the curb said "FREE- Haul it away!" so I did. 🙂

I’ve never needed desired upgrading and stick with 4.0 as it still does all I need. And I would NEVER upgrade through a fly-by-night scammer in any case.
