In PhotoShop 5 I had the option of using the "variations" feature(Image>Adjust>Variations)…now that I’ve moved on to PhotoShop 6 I don’t see it. Am I missing something?

No, it should be there, at the bottom of the Adjustments menu. I think they moved it’s place from 5 to 6.

I checked again (just in case I had a brain slip), it’s not there That’s where it was in 5 as well.

I’m not sure what to tell you. The most current version of PS is PS CS, I’m still using 7, and have 6 on my system (don’t ask me why). In both, 6&7 it’s at the bottom of the Adjustments menu.

You might try resetting your preferences per the procedure in the FAQ.

Variations is a plugin — you’re probably missing several (if not all) plugins.

What about screen rez?
Some things disappear from bottom of drop downs in Elements if not 1024 rez.

But only on some systems, seems.
Maybe PS 6/7 behaves same on some systems?

I always ran 6 and 7 at 800×600, it wasn’t unil i was forced to switch with CS that I upped my screen res to 1024×768 (and got a new glasses perscription – thanks adobe!) 🙁
