Hi,

I wondered if someone could give me some ideas on how to know the woman out of this picture of a Moscow tram?

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/keggler/Images/Frame24A.jpg

This is the low-res Photoshop save, I have the hi-res version here on my PC…

Time to get good with the clone tool. Most of the area can be cloned pretty easily, except for the text on the side of the tram reading K/T Talzh…. You’ll need to either block all the text out, or find out what it says and recreate it.

The clone tool is your friend here.
You’re lucky in that the nature of the surrounding areas are all quite "Clone tool friendly", perhaps with the exception of the text on the tram, but that’s fairly easily fixed too.
Good luck.

To give you an idea of what’s possible. This was the result after 5 minutes bashing around with the clone tool.
If you have more time on your hands, you’ll be able to put more effort into it and produce a better job than I did.

Nice job – now a dose of curves to get rid of the cyan cast and we’re there! —

Clone Tool is usually using by most people, but you can use just about whatever technique you know well.

– Clone Tool (1st choice)

– Duplicate (good choice for large block like to deal with the woman)

– Paint Brush (on different layer for fine tuning)

… and few others, and those are very basic tools that you should learn to master them as soon as possible.
