exchanging color between PS7mac & PS6win

In PS7mac I have recorded some actions that contain duotones that use colors from a colorbook. These actions don’t work on the PS6win system they are to be used on, I suspect because the colors/colorbook I used are not available on that system. I tried to obtain a colorbook that does exist on that system to re-record the action with colors from that book but apparently PS6 does not use colorbooks? Or does it? I received a swatches file instead but I don’t seem to be able to select a color from the swatches palette when the duotone window is open…

How do I get around these ‘incompatibilities’?
