Hi Douglas,
I don’t see any problem here on my system, but that’s not to say there isn’t one on yours. Note however that Photoshop CS is not itself a "registered file type" but rather a program to associate with registered file types. I assume that’s really what you meant but wanted to be sure there is no confusion. Regardless, if PS CS isn’t showing up in the list of programs that you can associate with the selected file type, just use the browse option to location the photoshop.exe file in the installed directory path. That should work.
Not to question why you’re doing this, but do you really want JPEGs associated with PS CS? Perhaps you don’t just casually open JPEGs for viewing as often as I do, but the last thing I’d want to do is launch PS CS for viewing. I just stick with Internet Explorer or the Windows Picture and Fax viewer for much more quick access to viewing a file. Then, if an when I want to edit a JPEG, I’ll either drop it on the PS CS program icon, use the Send To command, or open it directly with PS CS if the app is already open. Just a thought, realizing your viewing preferences may differ from mine.
Regards,
Daryl
