I’m working on a ska related project and I’m manually generating a black and white chequer board design (mostly for borders) which is adequate but laborious. Can anyone inform me if there is an easier way to achieve this or point me in the direction of a tutorial. Thanks.

You can define you basic 2 tone square and define it as pattern

Make a new document as for example 10 px x10 px
fill it with your 2 tones squares,

Edit>define>pattern and then
Edit >fill (and use the pattern in the drop down)

OK my hubby paints cars for his Sim
he was always asking me for checkerboards

I made several images of four squares 2 black 2 white
saved in various pixel sizes as patterns
then use fill>pattern

adobe studio exchange had a few grid maker under actions I also found under custom shapes a palette full of tiles (floor type)
