Hi,

I use Bridge to sort my images (which I’m discovering is possibly not the best way), and am wondering if there’s a way to prevent it from automatically processing (i.e applying exposure, brightness etc corrections) each file in the folder I’m currently working on. It takes an absolute age and I would rather just view the images as they came out of the camera and then apply my own preocessing to the images I’m keeping.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Thanks

Paul

In preferences, is there a script, when you open or download images through Bridge, that you have enabled.

I don’t think its the default setting.

I’ve never disabled mine and don’t pay much attention to the newer ARC v4.x, but I read ARC 3.x has option to disable the auto-adjusting. Sorry that I don’t remember the step-by-step (I bet GOOGLE would).

Ill have a look there. Looked through Adobe FAQ not a mention there thought I have missed it.

Yes I have turned it off in previous versions without problems but still can’t find this in Bridge CS3 workflow. Actually Bridge is doing this processing.

If I open up a JPG or Tiff in ACR 4.1 all the sliders are on zero values. But if I open a RAW up in ACR 4.1 Ill have values in Blacks, Brightness,Contrast, Clarity, Vibrance even the sharpening tools will have values dependent on the image which Bridge must have "helped" out in some sort of preprocessing.

Now I have a problem in which a few RAW shots were intentionally bracketed as to get the best effect. When I look at them through bridge, because they have been adjusted automatically, there all the same.

With the original question that was posted there being no answer had to bring it up again. Thought someone may by now have a better handle on Bridge CS3.

Under the Tools menu, if you click Photoshop (not Photoshop Services), is anything (such as Image Processor) checked?
I’m guessing, but I noticed that if you click Tools/Photoshop/Image Processor, PS opens, and there is a window to set up what it will do to all the files. I didn’t investigate any further, because I didn’t want to end up in the same pickle as you.

Its nothing to do with Photoshop processing the images. That a batch process. You use the ACRaw prior to opening your image in PS.

I have put it up on the Adobe forums as well hope to get an answer.

Sorry that I can’t be any help especially CS3 and new ARC v4 which I have them installed on my system for awhile now. But because I am on new medicine (Byetta for my diabete) on the 4th months and still have some side-effect problem to have energy to mess with the new CS3 yet to know much about the new features/options.
