Ok, I’m a little annoyed and lost.

I want to create a new image using some other images.

I can easily create a new ‘window’ (don’t know the proper term for an image before it actually is saved as such…) and I alreayd have other images open (couple of GIFs) but I can’t move them over to the new window. It simply won’t let me. I can pick them up and move the Gifs within their own windows but no matter what settings I choose for the new image, I can’t copy them over.

I have been able to do this with other images in the past but it seems that when you are creating one, there is always some dumb a$$ thing that needs to eb done instead of being an easy process.

PS 7.0

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Common misunderstanding. Short answer: Just go to Image – Mode and change each image to RGB. Then you can drag images from window to window, combine and so-forth.

GIF images are "indexed color" mode. You must convert them to RGB before you can transfer them.

The problem is probably that the GIF’s are in indexed mode and your new window is RGB.

Use Image>Mode>RGB to convert your gif’s to RGB mode, make sure your new image is indeed RGB, and drag away.

Happy new year.

Thanks, that helped out. I know it was something along those lines, just forgot to adjust the ‘source’ object instead of the ‘new’ one 🙂
