Good day! I have placed a psd file into another psd file with the hopes that whenever I work on the first psd file that my changes would be automatically reflected in the second psd file.

Unfortunately this does not occur. Is there a way to force an update,
i.e., have Photoshop re-place (link) the asset. A similar feature is
present in InDesign.

Thanks.

I have never tried to open/merge 2 PSDs to know if it’s possible or not. But when you work on multiple images then you are talking at multiple layers. And there are several modes, options depending on your choice’s

I know what I am doing, but I am not an experted on this to give you all small detail. Or the Layer works difference between the Button selection and Menu selection, blending mode, single or group, and opacity etc..
