trying to export a picture without the whole canvas

ok.. say u have a circle on a canvas. I dont know of any way just 2 save that circle from photoshop. I only know how 2 save the squared canvas that has the circle in it. So when I want to put the circle onto my web page i cant cause it just brings the whole canvas with it. Even with Translucent backgrounds it doesnt work.

A tour to the user guide could lead to way more info about file formats, you should really take a look at it! (or in the help menu, there is a wizard call export transparent images…)
