PS7.0(video pc) is installed on a network machine, no TCP/IP, I use NETBEUI on the local network. The printer is on the #2 pc, on the local network.
If #2 pc is shutdown I cannot open PS7.0 on my video machine.

What files are on the #2pc that makes PS7.0 dependant of?

How can I eliminate this problem?

PS7.0 is set via network command to print via the #2pc,which the printer is connect to.

I have tried removing the Prefs many times, but to no avail.

There has to be an answer here somewhere.

Thanks folks

Might try setting your default printer to a local printer, even Acrobat Distiller, or something bogus on the LPT1: port.

Thanks Brent:

I just removed the network print drivers, all is good.

Will just continure to print after file transfer to the #2pc.

This is something that I just recently tried, so it should

have rung a bell right away. A senior momement I guess.

Thanks again

You’re welcome, Jack
The last time I remember this issue was Photoshop 6, but I’m sure it’s been on the forum since then.
I simply use HP external printservers for home printers , they’re always on and don’t create problem.
