Hi its been along time since I last posted here. anyways here is my question. I am doing some 3d heads with a product called lightwave 7.5c I am uv mapping wich is taking all your polygonsand makes them in to a flat image. What I need to do is make wrinkles for my old mans head how can I do this. I think making a crack will do the trick for small wrinkles around the eyes. How can I do cracks and what would you do for wrinkles.

Swlilly,

Or you can just use the Airbrush, with different width settings for both cracks and wrinkles, and freehand them in. Do your Color Map in RGB and save it. If you want to make a Bump Map, the Color Map can be a good starting point, only convert it to Grayscale first. Or, if you made the Bump Map first in Grayscale, you could save it and then convert to RGB as the starting point for making a Color Map. This Photoshop technique automatically gives you some "free" correlation between your various UV maps.

On a different subject, do you find the "c" version of LightWave 7.5 to be buggy? I have seen criticism of it in forums. I currently have LightWave 7.0 on my system and haven’t installed the 7.5 upgrade and don’t know how far to go with the installation of patches.

Or find them in other images and clone them over, then tweak color/blend, etc.
