I keep getting errors when trying to load my automated gallery into a frame on the web site. The web address is www.joshandkrissy.com. Click on galleries and then any of the gallery links. The error has something to do with writing feedback about the picture and saving the feedback. It won’t save the feedback and then, the problem keeps coming back to the script line top.BottomFrame. I am sorry I am such a noob. When I make the web site load the gallery in it’s own window the problem stops, but I really want it in that frame. I am not sure what pieces of the html source I should copy here. I use frontpage to modify my web site, and photoshop CS for the galleries. My computer is running XP Pro with SP2

I don’t have CS, so let’s get that out of the way.

When I check a Java console (part of the Mozilla/Firefox browser – yeah!), it gives the following error message for your feeback frame: "Error: top.BottomFrame has no properties"

I’m not an HTML expert, and certainly not great at scripting, but that’s what I can offer atm…

Peace,
Tony

Wow…framesets embedded inside framesets!

When I make the web site load the gallery in it’s own window the problem
stops….

Even when a single page – suc as:
http://www.joshandkrissy.com/newpgallery/4th%20of%20July/pag es/100_0164.htm# is loaded on it’s own, the feedback can’t function because there is no means for doing so. You need a system in your pages and on your server to process the feedback.

(btw … using spaces in file names isn’t a good idea. All those "%20"’s are spaces. Better to use dashes or underscores than spaces.)

all the photos load and i can tick them and approve them but when i go to email you it does not work which means that the java script has not been uploaded with the rest of the files as this controls the email feedback form,

what do you mean the javascript has not been uploaded? Could you leave feddback about the picture? Hmmm…I need to try this out so it loads in it’s own window or something. I think all the functions work if I load the gallery into it’s own window. I just really didn’t want to do that.

yeah, thats definately how i wanted it to work. Is the banner in a different frame from the gallery? How did you do it? I switched my current page to open the gallery in it’s own window (without frames) and it works. It just has problems when I load it into a frame on my site, and that is how i want it to really work.
